Poker odds chart

A poker odds chart is a reference table that tells you how likely a given poker outcome is, such as completing a flush draw or being dealt a full house.

Sample space
5-card poker has 2,598,960 possible hands1
Royal flush odds
4 / 2,598,960, or 649,739:1 against1
Quick rule
Multiply outs by 2 for one card to come, by 4 for two cards to come25

Key points

  • A poker odds chart maps a poker event to its probability by dividing favorable outcomes by total possible outcomes.14
  • In draw situations, players use the chart to estimate the chance of improving a hand from the number of outs and unseen cards.45
  • Players compare those chances with pot odds to decide whether calling is mathematically justified.34
