Lottery, Bingo & Number Games
Pick 5 lotto
Pick 5 lotto is a lottery draw game in which players pick five numbers or digits and win by matching the five numbers drawn, with rules and prize structures varying by jurisdiction.
Key points
- Jackpot odds depend on the pool size: Nebraska's 5/40 game has odds of 1:658,008.6
- Some games require an exact-order match (straight bet); others pay for any-order matches or partial hits.13
- A 50¢ wager typically pays half the top prize, as in Louisiana's Pick 5 where 50¢ wins $25,000.3
- Games may use digits (0–9) or a larger number field (e.g., 1–45), changing both odds and strategy.58
