Odds payout chart

An odds payout chart is a table that shows how much a bet pays out for a given set of odds or wager amount, used across sports betting, casino games, and parimutuel pools.

Roulette straight-up payout

Key points

  • In fixed-odds betting, the payout is predetermined when the bet is placed; the chart shows the return for each stake.5
  • In parimutuel betting, the payout varies with the pool size and house deduction, so the chart reflects a changing return.3
  • Moneyline odds use formulas: positive odds pay X to 100, negative odds pay 100 to X, with fair probability calculated accordingly.1

Where this term is used

Not the same as

  • Pass line odds payout — a specific craps rule for odds behind a pass line bet, while an odds payout chart is a general payout reference across bet types
  • Craps odds payout — the true-odds payoff on a craps odds bet (2-to-1, 3-to-2, or 6-to-5), whereas a chart is broader and not craps-specific
  • Baccarat odds payout — baccarat's own bet-specific payout schedule, while an odds payout chart is a generic display of payouts
