Baccarat odds payout

Baccarat odds payout is the rate at which a winning bet is paid, such as even money (1:1) for Player, 19:20 for Banker, or 8:1 for Tie.

Player bet
Pays 1:1 (even money). House edge about 1.24%.13
Banker bet
Pays 19:20 (even money minus 5% commission). House edge about 1.06%.13
Tie bet
Typically pays 8:1 (house edge 14.4%); some UK casinos pay 9:1 (house edge 4.85%).13

Key points

  • The Banker bet pays 19:20 because a 5% commission is deducted from winnings.23
  • The Tie bet carries the highest house edge — 14.4% at 8:1 — making it the least favourable wager.13

Where this term is used

Not the same as

  • Odds payout chart — a chart that lists payout rates for many bets, not the payout term itself
  • Pass line odds payout — a craps term for the extra odds bet behind a pass line wager; baccarat has no pass line bet
  • Craps odds payout — paid on an odds bet after a pass line or don't pass bet; baccarat payouts are fixed by bet type, not by point-based odds
