Rummy points
Rummy points are the numbers assigned to each card to decide who wins a hand or a game. Different rummy variants use different point systems, and points may come from cards a player has melded, cards still in hand, or both.
- Face cards
- Typically 10 points each in generic rummy scoring1
- Aces
- 1 point (or sometimes 11) in generic rummy2
- Number cards
- Score their face value in most variants1
- 500 Rummy
- 2–10 face value, J/Q/K 10, A and Joker 15; ace in A-2-3 scores 13
- Indian Rummy
- Each point has a preset monetary value; winner receives opponents' points times that value7
