Baccarat hit rules
Baccarat hit rules determine whether the player or banker draws a third card after the initial two-card deal. The player's hand is checked first, then the banker's.
- Player draws
- On 5 or less
- Player stands
- On 6 or 7
- Banker draws if player stood
- On 5 or less, stands on 6 or 7
Key points
- If the player’s hand totals 5 or less, the player draws a third card; on 6 or 7, the player stands.12
- When the player stands, the banker draws on 5 or less and stands on 6 or 7.1
- If the player draws, the banker’s decision depends on both the banker total and the player’s third card, using a conditional draw table.1
